Well, Lauri Kotilainen, for example - a great example of a Finn - A red mohawk, a wide smile and a guitar. For someone like me, a very pleasant person to meet. He was the most talkative one too. I can hardly remember anything they talked about, but I can definitely remember that it was a lot of fun. And it ended with us singing a nice Finnish folk song together. It was a lot of fun, though I found it very hard to squeeze a note out of myself - for some reason it felt awkward. But I guess it's just some personal block I have and that I really need to get over. By the end of the song I was singing like a nightingale. :D
I'm not sure if I mentioned this in any previous posts - another reason why I love my school - there's always so much going on. Sometimes I feel it might be a bit too much, because the information sometimes doesn't spread fast enough. But it doesn't bother me that much. On Monday we had that event, and then on Thursday instead of sitting at school we had a nice trip, visiting some lovely places near Tallinn. It was a lovely change, though the destinations were pretty random. We visited a very old church and a chapel, ancient stone coffin graves, a hydraulic power plant, a little village and a waterfall. All of the places were very close to each other and it's hard to remember each one, so the list is probably incomplete. Me and my friends ended up spending most of the time laughing and taking pictures of ourselves with stupid faces, though when there was something to be heard or seen, we were there, so I can't say we were misbehaving.
It was a fun day full of laughter and interesting places, but later it was made much sadder when I received the news that the gap between two of my dearest friends has grown too big and they decided to end their friendship. It's hard to make me very sad, but that did it. It's gonna be very hard for me, since I really care about both of them. I felt like a Nightwish fan after Tarja Turunen was kicked from the band.. But as always, I'm trying to look on the bright side of it - better a horrible end than endless horror, right? I could see they had some hard times and like Tuomas Holopainen said after expelling Tarja, some problems just can't be solved by talking. So, maybe it was their best option.
It's been two weeks since I pierced my ears and they're doing great. They don't hurt at all, it's so easy to clean them, and the only reason why I'm still using the first earrings is because they're quite thick, and I don't want my new piercings to shrink.
Also, Samuli's visit is getting very close - we're counting days, and now there's only 5 days to go. Oh, the excitement!
