A little quack in the silence

I'm feeling pretty lousy for leaving this blog silent for so awfully long, but it's because I simply have no time. This school period has been very difficult for me, with a lot of lessons and homework, plus my health going up and down like a rollercoaster, and I've also started to deal with the exchange year plan on a daily basis.
The school period is almost over, only two days left. After being sick for a long time, I had to work hard to keep up, but I think I'm good now. My results probably won't be brilliant, but not horrible either.
I really hope that my health doesn't have any more tricks for me. Going to school less that I'd like to and visiting the doctor regularly was starting to get really annoying.

But I'll get to the big thing that's been taking up all my spare time now - preparing the exchange year.

About two weeks ago I visited the YFU office with mum to get familiar with the contract. After that we made some plans. My mother said that in addition to dealing with YFU, I have to find the money for the program myself. I understand why she said that - in addition to all the challenges and experiences from the exchange year, fundraising is also a challenge. If I succeed, I can say that I'm ready for life in the big world. A week later I was at the YFU office again, this time to listen to the older exchange students' experiences on fundraising. It was very useful - I finally got a clear vision of what I need to do and what I must definitely not do. I've decided to seek opportunities everywhere, and I already have many ideas waiting to be realized. And I will get to it after the end of this period.

Now I'll move to the one idea I've already realized - I opened a facebook page to give everyone and anyone a chance to help me and hear about my progress. It's not entirely finished - I still need to add the information in Russian and maybe change the photos too, but the page is already serving its purpose.

In the near future I'll finish the page, focus on other ways to make money and also sign the contract with YFU.
