Of silly fears and chocolate muffins

Sitting at home feeling very sick and bored, I thought I'd give it a go and write another post. I've been feeling ill for over a week now, but it wasn't bad enough to stay home. This morning at 6 am I woke up to a horrible headache, tried to sleep for two hours and after failing miserably, took a painkiller. I slept well after that, but I'm still feeling pretty bad. I'm a bit scared that I'll need to skip going ice skating with my class on Tuesday. I've always loved ice skating, and I don't get a chance to do it very often. I've been looking forward to Tuesday for a long time, so it would be very sad if I had to stay home. But enough of complaining.

The last two weeks I've spent mostly trying to keep  my school results positive - and looking at my current results, I've succeeded. I hope I can keep it this way.

Exactly a week ago I went to the selection day at YFU Estonia. It wasn't half as scary as I had imagined.

First of all, the potential exchange students and the YFU volunteers just chatted about everything related to going for an exchange, then we played some games, and each one of us was interviewed. Then our parents came to be given more information about the whole thing, and after that we left. The next day I received an email that I've been chosen to be a candidate to become an exchange student. Now I'm waiting for YFU's reply for another meetup to discuss more details. In the meanwhile, I need to start looking for potential sponsors. Feels scary now to think about it, but when I see internet memes where people admit that they're scared to confess to their friends or even worse, ninja murderers in every shadow, it makes me feel at least a lot more confident, if not fearless.

Now my main goal is to get well quickly, because not only do I want to go ice skating on Tuesday - I've also been preparing for a nice day in Helsinki on the 26th of January. It started with mum finding a nice 50% off a day cruise offer. I invited Samuli to join me in Helsinki that day, and in the middle of a conversation I found out that Kärt, a good friend of mine, will also be on the same cruise with her friend. Since the offer is only valid for two people, my mum will also join.

And finally, here's some eye candy for you: the chocolate muffins I baked two days ago. Nothing fancy, just chocolate muffin mix, some oil and water, and I chose to add some coconut flakes and dark chocolate.

By the way, do you have any nice recipes you like to make and enjoy with the ones you love? If you do and don't mind to, please go ahead and share them with me. Thanks! :)

  1. Odrapannkoogid:

Kuigi mina panen rohkem. Segad ära ja teoreetiliselt murendad halvaapuru tainasse. Kuigi mulle meeldivad suured halvaatükid.

Ja parimad lihtsad voikypsised: 200g void + 1dl tuhksuhkrut + 4dl jahu + 1 dl kartulitärklist ja natukene soola.
    180 kraadi juures 15 minutit.
Küpsised tee väiksed mummusuurused ja keskele vajuta lohuke ja pane sinna moosi voi mari voi mingi lahe sokolaad nt
